IMPORTANT: THIS AGREEMENT AFFECTS LEGAL RIGHTS AND INCLUDES A RELEASE OF CLAIMS, INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM NEGLIGENCE. READ IT CAREFULLY BEFORE ACCEPTING.
1. Participant, season and activities
I, , am registering to participate in Korean Canadian Athletic Association (KCAA) hockey during the 2026–27 season, including league games, playoffs and related on-ice activities organized by KCAA. This agreement applies from my acceptance until the end of that season.
2. Acknowledgment and assumption of risk
Ice hockey involves risks that cannot be eliminated. They include contact and collisions with players, sticks, pucks, boards and ice; falls; equipment failure; and the actions or omissions of other people. These risks can result in serious injury, permanent disability, paralysis, death or property damage. Rules, protective equipment and supervision may reduce risks but cannot remove them. I understand and voluntarily assume the risks of participating, including risks arising from the negligence of the Releasees identified below, to the extent permitted by law.
3. Safety responsibilities
I agree to follow league rules, use the required protective equipment, and participate within my abilities and condition. If I notice a significant hazard or become unfit to participate, I will stop participating and notify a league official as soon as reasonably possible.
4. Release of claims
In this agreement, “Releasees” means KCAA, its directors, officers, officials, agents, employees and volunteers; other participants; league sponsors; and the owners, operators and lessors of facilities used for the activities. To the extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless the Releasees from claims I may have for injury, disability, death, or loss of or damage to property arising from my participation, INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES. This release is intended to bind me and my estate, heirs and personal representatives to the extent permitted by law. It does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
5. Voluntary acceptance
I confirm that I am at least 18 years old, have read and understand this agreement, understand that it limits legal rights, and accept it freely and voluntarily. By checking the acceptance box and submitting this registration, I intend to give my electronic acceptance of this agreement.
